The Viking's Today
The Viking's Motel is one of the oldest continuously operating motels in this country. The twelve beach cabins known as the Viking's Cottages were built between 1925 and 1932 and served as vacation rentals until the end of 2007, when they closed for good.
Today, the Viking's still offers ocean-front accomodations in the historic Nye Beach district of Newport, Oregon.
When you arrive at the Viking's on a Friday afternoon, you are likely to be greeted by Beckey, the Viking's Office Manager. Perhaps it was her sweet voice on the phone confirming your reservation. Beckey has been at the Viking's since 1991 and knows the accommodations and the day-to-day operation better than anyone. She keeps the Viking's ship on course. Beckey is but one of a dedicated crew working to make your stay a pleasure.
Today's crew is a visible part of the Viking's story, but the roots are deep in history.
